Preparing for Adulthood (PFA)
Aims :
To give all our 6th Form students the skills and knowledge they need for adult life.
To support our students to live adult lives that are as independent and fulfilling as possible.
To prepare our students to move on to their next setting at the end of Year 14.
What do want our pupils to learn ?
The 6th Form curriculum follows the Preparing for Adulthood (or PfA) model.
Preparing for Adulthood has four areas:
Employability
Independent living skills
Good health and wellbeing
Relationships and community
Everything that students learn and experience in the 6th Form will support their development in these four areas. Their curriculum will look different depending on which of our 6th Form pathways they are following.
